Dylan had a homework assignment that involved finding leaves outside and writing about them. We went for a walk as a family and picked out our favorite bark, rocks, leaves and whatever else struck our fancy, then came home and drank hot chocolate. Of course Amelia spilled hers down her diaper which set off a chain reaction of doom and destruction amongst the kids, so we whipped them all soundly and yelled them to bed… Maybe that’s not exactly how it happened, but chocolate down the diaper is pretty tough to bounce back from. It was a nice evening and it made me think about how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place and have my family to enjoy it with.
June and her friend Margie sold rocks for charity the other day. A couple of people bought some! Turns out you can sell anything. Do you think anyone would be interested in buying a ginormous pile of laundry and perhaps a sink full of dirty dishes… for charity? I’m proud of June for her entrepreneurial creativity. She’s a good girl.
